Our plan is to increase the rugby representation on the committe of the Cardiff Athletic Club and from there to improve on fans? representation on the board of directors of Cardiff RFC Ltd - the company that runs the Cardiff Blues and the Premiership side.
Please keep an eye out for the a CAC SGM - this is when we?ll need your support to vote through the ammendment and increase rugby representation at CAC.
In order to request a change in the rules of CAC, thirty members need to sign a motion. The motion has been drafted and we have secured the necessary thirty names.
This motion will now shortly be submitted to CAC.
It has proved difficult to get hold of a list of CAC members, so we are in the process of writing to all shareholders of Cardiff RFC Ltd.. We hope that many of these will also be members of CAC, so when the times comes, they will vote for our motion.
Each letter contains the following ...
? A cover letter explaining what C2A stands for and what this campaign in about
? A copy of the flyer we used at the meeting on 1st August, 2007
? A membership form - if you haven?t joined C2A, we urge you to do so. It is the best way to get your voice heard.
The current C2A web site is basically a forum board with some other areas for blogs and announcements.
The forum is being moved to another URL and the web site beefed up to incorporate more details about C2A - what we stand for, who we are and what we are doing.
Please keep an eye out in the next few weeks for more news and information.
C2A is in the process of contacting other key shareholders of Cardiff RFC Ltd in order to explain our campaign and position.
Various fund raising efforts are taking place in an effort to create a campaign fund. Finance will be needed to fund mail shots, produce campaign materials and increase fans and members awareness.
When the time is right, we will approach the press.
