Present: Ian Tabor, Marc Wakenham, Roy Pearce, Ellis McLucas, Richard Cottrell Philip Thomas, Neil MacSorley, Gareth Thomas

Apologies for Absence: Clive Williams, Martyn Winters, Dean Tabor

Minutes:

1. All agreed that it is vital to maintain rugby at Cardiff Arms Park and that the Trust should campaign for this. RP noted the lack of information from CRFC ltd with regards to any details of the Cardiff City stadium at Leckwith NM spoke of the concerns of many Cardiff Rugby supporters because of the financial news regarding Cardiff City FC. All agreed on the following tag line to campaign from:

KEEP BOTH CARDIFF TEAMS AT CARDIFF ARMS PARK

2. Concern was noted about the perceived desire of some elements of Cardiff Rugby to split the Premiership Side from the Cardiff Blues NM raised concerns that the Board of CRFC ltd seem unwilling to publically support the Premiership side Mwa wanted a policy of honesty from CRFC ltd RP raised concerns over the different kit manufacturers of both teams. All agreed on the following tag line to campaign from:

BOTH TEAMS SHOULD REMAIN UNDER THE FULL CONTROL OF THE FULL BOARD OF CARDIFF RFC LTD

C2A recognise that there is a need for the board to run two teams in order to ensure a career path for players C2A are also keen that both teams of the company are able to use the same training facilities All agreed on the following tag line to campaign from:

CARDIFF BLUES ARE THE FIRST XV OF CARDIFF RFC LTD

Whilst C2A recognise and support the responsibilities of CRFC ltd with regard to the new franchise region agreed in 2003, it is believed that the first XV was simply rebranded Cardiff Blues

C2A WILL CAMPAIGN FOR SUPPORTER REPRESENTATION ON THE BOARD OF CRFC LTD

Actions:

  • Neil to present Cardiff Athletic Club with the request for SGM (hand deliver 31/8/07)
  • All to meet at Disabled Room, CAP, at 6pm 31/8/07 to discuss membership drive
  • Gareth Thomas to product updated C2A website by 3/9/07
  • Ian Tabor to discuss new website with Gavin Cradle and supply GT with ftp details
  • Philip Thomas to produce a press release to publicise the actions of C2A by 3/9/07

  • C2A to nomimnate 8 candidates for the new Management Committee of CAC
