Reply from the Chairman of Cardiff Athletic Club
Following 38 days of silence, CAC have finally awoken and responded to our call for an SGM. Raising a number of technicalities, the Chairman - Mr G B Warfield - has asked that a new motion be submitted.
So we have prepared with expert help a new letter which will be re-submitted imminently.
This kind of tactic will soon be a thing of the past; with more in touch and committed supporters on the board, carrying out their day to day duties in the spirit of the membership and not that of a chosen few. Our aim is to make the board more representative of the members - not only numerically (in raising the representation of the rugby section), but also to better represent the members views regarding the running of Cardiff RFC Ltd..
If YOU wish to stand in the forthcoming elections as a new member of the CAC rugby section please write to nominations@calltoarms.org.uk telling me your name and that of a proposer and of a seconder to your nomination. (Please note that to stand for election or be a proposer or seconder for a nominee you must have been a member of CAC for at least TWO years (unbroken!)). You can read about what is required of members of the management committee at CAC here.
For all those members of CAC wishing to read and sign the letter please see me before, during or after the game and I shall show a copy of the letter and you can sign the members signatory list (please ensure you have your CAC membership card and number with you!)
